Into the Shop for Repairs
Tomorrow I shall have a new hip installed. This is going to keep me away from my office until Monday, April 30. With some luck I might be back a few days earlier than that.
Carl, Good luck with the surgery! All the best to you in your recovery. Take care of yourself. perhaps you could share your analysis on SYK before you depart...
best wishes for a speedy recovery. as others have said, we will miss your daily thoughts, and look forward to your return as the Six Million Dollar Man who Knows Markets.
I'm sure I share the same thoughts on behalf of the rest of the others, but we all hope you have a speedy recovery, thank you sooo much for what you have done, we hope to hear from you once you are better. God Bless. Kris, London

Good luck with your hip surgery. I hope you get some rest and can resume your daily routine with pain-free ease. As a person who reads but doesn't respond to blogs, I'm sure that I'm one of thousands who are thankful that you spend time sharing your market analysis on your blog site. I look forward to reading your blog updates when you are 'repaired' and in good health. Best of luck to you tomorrow and in the days ahead during your recovery.
I have 2 friends who have had hip replacement in the past year and neither ever had a single bit of pain. It is amazing what these docs can do these days. Wishing you the best, and a quick rehab.
Carl: My mother, your aunt, had the same surgery 17 years ago with great success. It was well worth it. You'll be in our prayers as Nicki is in yours. All the best to you and your family. Mark Giangreco
Reading your blog I had no idea you were that "hip", hahahaha, oh god, I kill my self some times, sigh. Hey, my 85 year old Dad had one done about 5 years ago, no problemo, take your time and make sure it's healed, before you come back and start swinging for the fences again. Good Luck.
