The e-minis are getting close to my target zone for the day so I decided to put my profit in my pocket.

  2. Well done!

As I a fellow Yalie, I do watch your blog. As you have been chopped up quite a bit in the last few weeks, I am pleased that you finally nailed it.

I must admit I like your new addition to the blog with the Demand and Supply shock - it makes a lot of sense. Thanks for being so open and honest with your trades.

  5. Carl,
there are some readers who would post a comment but were at work in Europe. I would have posted a comment and was bullish for today if volume would confirm. 33yr old novice from Germany! Have a good one! Val

  7. Observer.

I had a look at the P&F....... interesting that on a day when the recession has been painted so bleak that traders would take the market up.!!

  9. Not to think too deeply, but now all of the comments are very positive, haven't read one negative post yet....so does the reverse psychology of the markets also work on the downside??

  10. Carl,
I enjoy your blog but I am also a fan of your academic work. In your '81 Econometrica paper you cite another paper titled "Stochastic Business Cycles." I was wondering if I could get a copy of the paper?
