My favorite newspaper, The New York Times, is yet again trying to throw a wet blanket over the economy's reviving animal spirits.
In this morning's edition you will find an editorial entitled "Some Caveats on Job Growth". The Times' editors assert that if "...you look behind the headline number, the jobs picture - and what it says about the economy - is considerably more nuanced."
Well, good news about the economy just can't simply be good news as far as the NYT is concerned. At some point the paper's editors will be too embarrassed to write editorials like this one. And when that time comes it will also be time to sell stocks.
